Eye Exams

Our knowledgeable doctors of optometry and friendly staff are dedicated to helping you and your family with all of your eye health and vision care needs. Our doctors are trained to diagnose and treat many eye diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma. Our examinations include retinal screenings for diabetes, high blood pressure, and other systemic health conditions.

Our comprehensive eye exams include detailed testing, analysis, and consultation to best serve your visual needs.  Our Optometric assistants will complete preliminary testing including computer assisted measurement of refractive error, automated peripheral visual field, color and depth perception testing.  Your medical and vision history information along with the results from visual acuity testing will be stored in your electronic medical records and analyzed by the doctor. The doctor will check eye posture, movement, focus and complete a thorough microscopic health exam of the cornea, iris, lens, vitreous and retina.  After reviewing the findings with you the doctor can explain the treatment plan customized for your unique visual system.

Our doctors examine infants and children of all ages. Developmental vision exams are also available which test visual skills involved with eye movements, eye focusing, flexibility, accuracy, eye teaming and alignment. Screening tests can also be performed to analyze basic perceptual skills. 

LASIK and other refractive surgery examinations and consultations services are available for those interested in permanent vision correction. Medical treatment is provided for eye infections, injuries, allergies, dry eyes and glaucoma. 

Contact lenses of all types are available from daily disposables, torics, colors, extended wear, gas permeable and bifocals. 

We offer low vision evaluations to offer magnification assistance for people with macular degeneration and other sight threatening conditions.

Lasik


We offer our patients pre-operative and post-operative care to laser vision correction. We co-manage with local surgeons who specialize in the cornea and operate with the newest high-tech laser in Santa Barbara.  The doctors at Eye & Vision care work closely with the surgeon for your optimal outcome with LASIK.
